Reuse-it.org was founded to spread awareness of the hazards of e-waste being disposed of in our landfills. We provide the lowest carbon footprint way to refurbish, reuse and recycle all forms of used electronics, batteries and solar systems.
Smartphones, PC’s, Cordless tools, cordless vacuums, EV’s, solar systems, and all things electronic produce an alarming amount of E-waste in the world. E-waste is full of toxic materials such as mercury lead, acids, beryllium, chromium and cadmium. They also contain some of the earth’s most rare and precious materials such as Cobalt, Lithium, silver, gold, and copper. E-recycling allows us to recover these materials from old electronics, batteries and solar systems to make new products. This reduces the amount of these materials that need to be removed from the earth.
E- recycling not only reduces our carbon footprint, but it also allows us to supply less expensive used electronics to those who would normally afford them at little to no cost. It is our mission to help everyone have access to basic cell phones, computers and power equipment around the world. While we couldn’t possibly do that ourselves, we can be the domino that starts the chain.
While we work to improve E-waste in our local community, we are hoping to set an example worldwide. By donating your e-waste to us, you can be assured that your efforts will be reciprocated into helping those in our area who wouldn’t normally have the resources to. We will be singing on more and more philanthropic organizations as our resources grow.
